My Story

K. McCary is an author and journalist (and blogger) whose work is committed to helping a new generation understand peace and being peacemakers. She has run her own marketing firm, P K and Company since 1983. Her specialties as a communications specialist, graphic designer, and marketing and public relations analyst garnered her awards and recognition around the globe. In addition, she the marketing director for United Colours Learning Institute, a for profit corporation in educational resources. She serves for the non-profit foundation of United Colours Education Center in Houston, Texas.

Since 2011, P. K. McCary has focused on publishing, which is a continuation of her desire to tell the stories of diverse cultures and their people.  It is the 30th anniversary of her award-winning book Black Bible Chronicles: From Genesis to the Promised Land, which will be released on her Jubilee Birthday in July of 2023. This last decade has been in helping others to publish their works. This collection of stories have morphed into helping others to self-publish. Instead, we have to learn about one another in order to decide if the work you need is the work we will and can do. We believe in asking questions and listening to your answers. Building trust takes time and that is why a lot of our clients are from referrals. We learn about YOU and then we help you learn about us and how we can best serve you. We’re talented, and will do everything in our power to earn your trust and answer your questions. We know that it may take time and that the answer might be no, but with our mutual efforts, it may well be YES.

MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION

Compromise on the quality of the skill set of a company and you’ll find that you are working harder than the company you’ve hired. If your company has reached a critical juncture: you’re either growing beyond your ability to keep up, you’re stagnating, or, you’re not growing … you need help. Should you hire a marketing agency when you’re struggling or wait until you can afford one? The right question is can you afford to wait. That is the critical question for every business at one juncture or another. You should shop around, but you should have a list of what makes a good marketing firm. These include
